Yakiniku

Today was basically a Friday and I felt like it took forever to come, but at the same time it came too soon because there is so much that still remains to be done.  That being said, today I was blessed to go to two different restaurants that were really good!  The first was Romania, which many people have talked about but until today I hadnʻt seen and the second was some yakiniku place whose name has escaped me.

I didnʻt have my camera at the Romania restaurant but I made an observation: in Japan, thereʻs no zoning.  This restaurant is basically amongst a bunch of homes and apartment buildings.  For me, itʻs really kind of a strange thing to climb a flight of stairs next to a house and arrive at a restaurant, but it was great food!  Iʻm not sure what anything was called, but itʻs kind of funny that it takes me going to Japan to do all these things.

Tonight, I ate Yakiniku and met some new friends as well as hung out with some co-workers.  I didnʻt realize how fun yakiniku (the legit one, not Camellias next to Chikos) can be.  I think I will have to start going to eat Yakiniku from now on.

One interesting thing I observed today was that people in my office know more English than I think.  Memo to me, watch out.
