Judo

Today, was a very interesting day.  We started out the day by riding the bicycles (in the rain, yet again) and then we got to work at 8:30 to get ready to visit an elementary school again.  There, we more than happily helped the high school kids from Hilo with their presentations (although they didnʻt need much, they are awesome) and then we rushed around for a while and sent them off to enjoy the rest of their trip.

Then, we went to a school where we were requested to do our entire presentation in English so they could practice!  It was an amazing experience because they seemed to actually understand a good portion of it.  Then, we got to see some Judo demonstrations and I guess then I realized that I knew NOTHING about Judo because it was pretty nuts....

But the best part about the visitation was that we had time to talk to the Judo students afterwards...they actually crowded around us and tried to interact with us in English.  It was probably one of the greatest efforts any students have made so far, and it was actually very touching.  These students were from all over Japan, and I feel blessed to have met them.
